I wrote this song during the pre-production of our new Cd “Free”
Once again it was really late at night and I was so tired I could hardly stay awake. Daph had gone to bed and I was up working on songs for the new record.
I was setting a delay patch for something and had this nice U2ish sort of slap back delay and I started playing the intro of what is now the intro to “Forever” Then just out of nowhere I started singing the opening lines in the verse, “God, You’re so amazing….” And I think I wrote the whole song in about 15 or 20 minutes, it was so cool! It’s a personal song thanking God for His unconditional love, desiring to be more like Jesus, and asking Holy Spirit to fill my life and have complete control to fulfill His destiny and purpose for my life. I also wanted to, and was expressing my desire to be with the Lord in heaven, forever!
No more pain and no more crying in the kingdom of heaven….can you imagine what that’s going to be like??? Hallelujah!
